Bahamas slowly!
Brad and I had a good trip to the bahamas last week and took the time to dive patiently and make sure we captured everything on film.

It turned out nothing short of an epic trip and I can't wait to get back over there and do it again.
Shooting pelagic fish and groupers at 60+ feet with only a pole spear is an insane challenge after hunting for so long spoiled by the reach and comfort of a speargun.
The fish of the trip were debatable.

Brads 18lb Wahoo with a pole spear in 2000' of water will go down as one of the coolest videos I've ever seen. While holding the camera in one hand and the pole spear in the other he also smashed a 14lb Hogfish. the tables were turned on him however after gaffing a big grouper to get out of a hole the fish went nuts and ran the gaff in and then out of his leg.

I got my personal best Black Grouper at 58 lbs, stoning it at 60 ft and bringing it to the surface on the same dive. The next day we found a 40 lb Black and convinced him to come home as well.
the biggest mistake of the trip was shooting a 30lb Amberjack mid-water and getting my ass handed to me. After dragging me from 20-60 ft he knocked my mask off and rammed the spear back into my leg and seconds later knocked the camera out of Brads hands as he tried to keep from drowning laughing.
Incredible trip. Can't wait to get back over there again.
