Big fish eat little fish

The old proverb is definitely right. Little fish eat plankton, the octopus eats little fish, the white grouper eats the octopus. Human eats the grouper. The food chain is a cruel story, indeed…
The white grouper, similar in shape to USA east coast’s Warsaw and Gag groupers, grows up to 20 kilos. His unpredictable behavior and divine taste, makes him a dream catch for most of us. In order to hunt them we can use hole spearing, quietly sinking towards them, or the “ambush” technique. Catching a big one with a killing shot is a memory that lasts forever.
Between the calm seas and the storms of Mediterranean Spring, massive whites are moving to the shallows to feed –shallows for them, deep though for the average spearo. This particular one was shot in a hole known from the past –waypoint SF31- at 31m. Gun: double banded (1X19mm, 1X16mm), 90 cm. Get ready!
